Pool & Spa Inspection Checklist

A pool inspection is an important step in ensuring the safety of your pool and the people who use it. Our inspectors will evaluate the pool systems, pool deck, and pool area for any defects and safety concerns.

Here are the important items we will check:

  • Fencing, gates, and protective equipment: We will check to make sure that the fencing around your pool meets legal requirements and that the gates are self-closing and self-latching. We will also check to make sure that there are no other hazards in the pool area, such as sharp edges or slippery surfaces.
  • Pool deck: The pool deck should be in good condition and free of any tripping hazards. We will also check to make sure that the pool deck is level and that there are no cracks or holes that could pose a safety risk.
  • Pool drains: Pool drains can be dangerous if they are not covered properly. We will check to make sure that all pool drains are covered with a properly sized and secured cover.
  • Pool surface: The pool surface should be free of any visible defects, such as cracks or holes.
  • Pool pump and equipment: The pool pump and equipment should be functioning properly. We will check to make sure that the pump is running and that the filter is clean. We will also check to make sure that the electrical system is properly installed.
  • GFCI: A GFCI (Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter) is a safety device that can help to prevent electrical shocks. We will check to make sure that a GFCI is properly installed in the pool area.
  • Pool light: The pool light should be functional and properly installed.

After the inspection, we will provide you with a detailed report of our findings. This report will help you to identify any potential safety hazards and take steps to correct them.
